Job description:
1. Problem identification and troubleshooting a wide range of complex electrical problems with limited to no supervision.
2. Specify the development of design or modify engineering assemblies, layout/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of complex scope.
3. Interfaces with internal and external customers regarding complex electrical issues for specific projects.
4. Specify and/or perform engineering ECAD design of complex scope.
5. Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports as required.
Position requirements
6. Create and modify schematics as directed by engineers.
7. Generate library symbols, footprints, and 3D drawings for components.
8. Investigate and implement PCB design trends and processes.
9. Conduct feasibility studies for packaging, cost, and system performance.
10. Perform complex CAD and CAE tasks, ensuring compliance with design standards.
Propose design trade-offs for resolution and implementation.
11. Communicate with fabrication vendors and address engineering questions.
12. Prioritize quality design and observe design for test and manufacturability principles.
13. Stay updated on PCB technology trends and apply them to our designs.
14. Collaborate with various teams during the design and fabrication process.
15. Resolve PCB design issues with vendors.
16. Contribute to PCB design specifications and standards for product quality and cost-efficiency.
17. Be creative and innovative. Demonstrate a willingness to explore new options to bridge program challenges or improve processes.
18. A nature of staying focused on solutions and ability to remain positive even under pressure.
19. Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with others, foster teamwork and bridge differences to achieve the program goals.
Preferred Qualifications
20. Proficiency in Altium, or Mentor PCB Design software.
21. Familiarity with Mechanical CAD tools (e.g., Siemens NX) is a plus.
22. Strong knowledge of PCB design best practices and standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
23. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
24. Experience in RF Circuit PCB design is preferred.
25. Experience using Altium PCB Design software
- To be responsible for providing technical guidance or solutions
- To develop and guide the team members in enhancing their technical capabilities and increasing productivity
- TO ensure process compliance in the assigned module, and participate in technical discussionsorreview.
- To prepare and submit status reports for minimizing exposure and risks on the project or closure of escalations.
