Rubrik SME Job Description
Responsibilities
Deploy and administer Rubrik backup solution.
Manage backup environment to ensure data integrity and archiving of data critical to the firm.
Perform problem resolution, root cause analysis, and implement projects to reduce future issues.
Implement automation and scripting to reduce manual tasks and provide proactive alerting to get ahead of outages.
Act as point of escalation to other teams for storage-specific knowledge and experience.
Work with other teams within the organization on hardware specifications, quoting and provisioning.
Document systems and configurations for ease of support for other members of the team.
Requirements
5+ years of experience deploying, configuring and maintaining storage backup hardware and software.
Proficiency with Rubrik internal workings of the appliance, Polaris, etc.
Ability to manage/setup backups, i.e. policy manipulations
Ability to create, setup proper Rubrik reporting
Ability to troubleshoot issues and, and if necessary, work with Rubrik to resolve
Experience with Rubrik and Cloud archiving
Experience with backup and recovery techniques in a large Enterprise environment
Experience with Enterprise Infrastructure, including Networking
Prior experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and associated storage management/tiering
Knowledge of storage-related connectivity protocols and technologies (iSCSI, NFS, FibreChannel, SAN, NAS, DAS, block, etc.) as well as major vendors (NetApp, Nimble, Dell, EMC, RedHat, etc.)

• To independently resolve tickets and esnure that the agreed SLA of ticket volume and time are met for the team.
• To provide support for on call escalations orL3 level support and doing incident and problem management
• Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts and conducting interviewsorparticipation in hiring drives.
• To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies
• To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases
• To participate or contribute on EN business in creation of proposals to drive Service improvement plans.
